Timing:
The High Commission is open from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm, Mondays to Fridays.
We are closed on Saturdays and Sundays, and on public holidays (see list below). In addition to these holidays, the High Commission may on rare occasions close, under directions received from the Government of India, in order to mark some extraordinary event that has taken place. If you are registered with us, we will let you know about these events by e-mail as much in advance as is possible, as quite often such extraordinary holidays are declared at short notice. If you are pressed for time, or are taking time off from work for the purpose of visiting the High Commission, you may like to call in advance and check that the office is open, so as to save yourself unnecessary inconvenience.

Applications for any consular service (visa, passport, attestation, certification etc.) are accepted between 9:00 am and 11:30 am on any working day. Passports, Visa and other documents are to be collected (after the service has been given) between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm. Processing time is normally two working days, but may be extended during peak seasons - please check on exact day for collection when you submit the application.

Please note that a Consular Officer will be available in the High Commission for emergency passport/visa/consular services, between 9 pm and 9:30 pm on all days, including holidays, and additionally, between 12 noon and 12:30 pm on holidays.
